SILOET Projekt 1 - Lüftersystem
| Zusammenfassung | The Strategic Investment in Low Carbon Engine Technologies (SILOET) Project 1 was conceived by Rolls-Royce and its partners to deliver light weight, robust and reliable and fuel efficient Fan technologies. The Project aims to develop and validate these in a Light Weight Fan System. As engine cycles move to lower specific thrust to reduce fuel burn and CO2, fans tend to become larger for a given thrust and, therefore, the fan system’s weight must be reduced or else the fuel burn advantage is lost. This project, therefore, has 3 main parts – fan aero-acoustics and flutter; blade reinforcement and composite casing. |
